Ending Illness: An Exciting Approach to Health!

The End of Illness is an exciting new book by Dr. David Agus that suggests that each of us can promote health by tuning in to our body’s signals. By knowing your body and paying attention to the details, each of us has the power to prevent illness. As we live longer, there’s a lot to be said for this. We can live better and help reduce the cost of healthcare at the same time.

This might sound far-fetched to many people. After all, we are “trained” to listen to our doctors and do what they say. This model works when you are sick. In my opinion, much more emphasis needs to be placed on promoting wellness and preventing illness. This is one of the keys to improving our quality of life while bringing our health care costs under control. It requires a shift in our thinking and our entire approach to healthcare.  Spending more money, early in the system, on wellness and prevention will save massive amounts as the population ages.

From a feng shui perspective, your health patterns are also mirrored in your home. The feng shui bagua is a symbolic map that correlates body parts to areas of your home. We also correlate the five organ networks to your home using the Chinese Element System. A third correlation comes via the chakra system. I discuss each of these in my January 2012 newsletter.

I’d love to hear from you about the correlations you discover between your home and your health. Please post your comments or any questions you have.
