The October 26, 2011 new moon in Scorpio is an ideal day to set an intention related to prosperity. New moon days are a time for new beginnings. They are good days to pause, reflect and take a brief time-out from your busy life. Tomorrow’s new moon is exact at 3:57pm EDT.
From a feng shui perspective, your prosperity area is the back left sector of: your home, every room in your home, your business or office, your land, and wherever you spend time. Take a look around and see if you can notice any patterns that mirror what is happening in your life. Do any doors or windows stick? Do light bulbs need replacement? Do the windows need to be washed? Does clutter need to be eliminated? Are cobwebs or dust gathering in corners and low lying places? Do you have any images or affirmations that portray lack, poverty, stress, or difficulties in general?
Our spaces hold energetic patterns that are reflected throughout our lives every day. One of the dilemmas is that we stop noticing things in our spaces after 30 days or so. Someone new can come in and right away may see things that you may be blind to. Just because you stop noticing what is happening does not mean that you are not influenced by it. The door that sticks or no longer opens may have stopped bringing opportunities your way long ago. The dirty or foggy windows may be clouding your vision without you realizing it. The dust and cobwebs gathering in the corners may mirror a general decline in energy, interest and overall passion and excitement. The serious or even humorous saying may be all too true … but it may also be locking a pattern in place that you’d love to change.
Be a guest in your own space. Take a look around with fresh energy and open eyes. What do you really see? If you’ve been living or working in the same space for a long time, get your camera out and take pictures. Lots of them. You’ll see things in the pictures that you miss when you look around. Piece the patterns together. They tell a story. If the story is one you are ready to shift, begin with this new moon. Set an intention for yourself, take some positive action and tune in to what changes for you … particularly as we approach the full moon two weeks later.
All of life is cyclical. The amazing thing is that we move through these cycles day in and day out, month after month, year after year. As you awaken to the energy, patterns, and cycles all around you, you can create positive change that truly makes a difference.
Try it. You may be pleasantly surprised about how easily things can shift for the better.
