Tune to Last Month’s Intentions for Partnership and Relationships
The energy of the October 19th new moon relates to relationships and partnerships. If you set intentions around this, notice how things shift for you during November, particularly as we approach the full moon on November 4th. Things come to light at the full moon.
The day after the new moon my husband and I were on a road trip to visit a friend about six hours away. It was a gorgeous day and we had a pleasant drive. While on our way I was delighted to hear from another friend who’s deliberately been out of communication for the past six months. This was a nice shift and wonderful synchronicity with the new moon energy.
November’s Focus is on Gratitude, Blessings and Prosperity
The November 18th new moon in Scorpio relates to Wealth, Prosperity and Blessings. This is the month to focus on the Wealth sectors of your land, house, work spaces and every room in your spaces. The Wealth area is the back-left corner when the space is divided into a grid of nine sectors, like a tic-tac-toe board.
The Wealth gua is primarily about the flow of energy that brings blessings and prosperity to you. A free flow of energy, supported by well-maintained and unobstructed spaces, is a key component of prosperity. Another key aspect is your belief that you are worthy of wealth, abundance and good things coming to you and your acceptance of them. If you enhance your space yet hold onto beliefs of lack and/or continually complain about the way things, hold grudges against others, or believe you need to struggle or always work hard, this will continue to be your experience.
Take Note of YOU!
This month notice your feelings, language and words. How you feel about yourself and others, the words you use to describe what’s happening and the stories you tell and repeat, influence what happens in your life. Feelings that are less than joyful or loving, words that emphasize problems, strife, complaints, blame, shame, unhappiness, stress, perceived slights by others, etc. push good things away from. Repeating negative news and negative stories do the same thing.
Maureen St. Germain, author of Waking Up in 5D (see separate story), says to tell your negative stories (including complaints and grievances) no more than three times. Tell them, tell them again, repeat one more time (if you must) and then NO MORE! This includes posting on Facebook and social media. Simply stop telling and repeating bad news. When you do, your life will change for the better.
When the square root of one percent of the world’s population does this (8,718 people in a world of 7.6 billion), the world will shift. Yes, that’s right, a very small number of highly evolved people, practicing conscious thought can change the world. Gregg Braden describes this as the Maharishi Effect in his 2007 book The Divine Matrix. It’s worth doing your part.
If you want things to change, shift yourself and support your transformation by keeping your home and workspaces in great condition. You can further enhance your life by applying the principles of feng shui to your spaces. If you enhance your space while continuing to complain about things not working or holding grudges against people, you’re likely to continue to experience whatever you complain about firsthand, as you reinforce the factors that keep better things away. It’s the way the world works.
Put yourself first. The work is always one oneself. A daily meditation or reflective period is a highly effective way to raise your energy. When you do this, notice how each day unfolds. If you say that you don’t have time to meditate (which you’re actually reinforcing via your words), begin with five minutes. When I meditate, I find that tasks take less time than anticipated, someone on my To Do list might call or contact me, or the day evolves in magical and unexpected ways. It’s been happening for years.
When I began telling myself that I have “more than enough time” every day, I was easily able to let go of “I have no time” or “I’m too busy.” We all have the same amount of time each day. What you do with it is what matters. Remember to express thanks for all that happens too!
Idea to Strengthen the Wealth Gua
The Wealth area, the back-left corner, is represented by the Wood element in the Five Element system. Wood energy is characterized by: tall trees and plants, vibrant growth, upward movement, stripes and columns, flowers and floral patterns, blues and greens. Wood is fed or strengthened by Water … envision rain feeding our plants and trees, deep into the roots. In NH we’ve recently been deluged with more than seven inches of rain after a very dry fall. Water energy overwhelmed Wood energy as many rivers crested above flood stage and over-spilled their banks.
Some of my favorite wealth enhancements include a vibrant green plant, a vase of fresh flowers, striped or floral fabrics, a gorgeous shining crystal, a treasured item or something that reminds you of wealth, a mirror, a coin jar or money in any form, a feng shui flute in the wealth position, six, eight or ten Chinese coins. Art or photos with Wood or Water energy such as tall trees, flowers, a flowing river, a prosperous harbor, a sailing ship.
Favorite wealth-enhancing photos that my husband took over the years include one of Hong Kong Harbor, another of the East River in Manhattan, and a third of a waterfall flowing toward us at Bushkill Falls in PA. Each reminds me of prosperous areas and they’ve served to strengthen my Prosperity gua. Another favorite Wealth enhancement sits in the back-left corner (Wealth) of my desk. It’s a treasure box with gold, frankincense and myrrh. This was a gift from one of my brothers many years ago.
Everyone has Wealth enhancements of some sort throughout their home and workspace. Look around, get creative and activate your space to enhance your intentions. As you do, make sure your personal energy is aligned as well.
Balancing the Five Elements
The Wood element is strengthened by Water and depleted by Fire. If your Wealth area is nicely balanced, any of the previously mentioned enhancements would work well.
If the area has too much Wood energy, bring in some Fire energy to tone things down. Fire energy is represented by red, bright lights, sunlight, triangles and pyramids, diamonds, people and animals, animal prints, electronics.
Earth and Metal energy can also be used to counteract excess Wood energy. In addition, they can deplete the energy of a Wealth gua if they are the predominant energies. Take note of this. Earth energy is generated from earthy materials such as brick or pottery, yellow and brown-tones and square shapes. Metal energy derives from all metals, white, grey and pastel colors, circles, ovals and arch shapes. If this is the case in your space, bring in items with Water and Wood energy. Metal energy depletes Earth. Water energy depletes Metal while it also strengthens Wood.

Additional Aspects of Wealth and Prosperity
The Wealth area of your space is also known as Fortunate Blessings. When you recognize the blessings in your life and you’re grateful for them, good things manifest and prosperity flows more easily. If you’re worried about not having enough money or resources, bills piling up, not being able to meet your financial obligations, etc. you’re constricting the free flow of energy. This pushes money and the many forms of prosperity away from you. Thus, the more you worry about money, the less you’ll have.
Thanksgiving is a wonderful reminder to be grateful for the many blessings in your life. We all have blessings of some sort. Recognizing your blessings and adopting a light, playful attitude, brings more to you. The harder you work, the harder you’ll have to work.
A joy-filled life moves along and unfolds easily. It’s about being happy and grateful for what shows up. It’s not about push, struggle, strife or making things happen.
